The Storeys is KTA's most ambitious work to date — a pair of high-rise towers that together form a new landmark for Gandhidham. The project was conceived as a vertical city: each tower containing residential floors above a mixed-use podium of retail, co-working spaces, and a sky lobby at the mid-point.
The facade system was designed to maximise natural ventilation and daylight penetration while reducing solar heat gain — a critical consideration in the Gujarat climate. Deep horizontal louvres cast moving shadows across the glass curtain wall, making the building a sundial of sorts: its appearance shifting from hour to hour as light moves across the facade.
At night, a beacon light at each tower's crown references the navigational lights of the merchant ships that have shaped Gandhidham's identity as a port city — a quiet nod to place and history in an otherwise forward-looking building.
